WARNING
And no! I am no means talking about power outages. This next upcoming series will be talking exclusively about the Black Americans in San Francisco. We will go back to the Gold Rush era, talk about all the wars (From the Civil War to present), Economics, Sports, Culture, Climate, Politics, Unemployment, Crime, Entertainment, Drugs, and even Housing. We will bring you this series little by little to help you as the reader understand what it is like to be a Black American in San Francisco today. When you read the title, what do you think I am talking about? Do you think it’s power? Wealth? Opulence? Success? History? Unity? Etc? We are going to talk about all…

I love this post man. Never been to San Francisco myself but I always associate with uppity Caucasians with the majority of them “fruity” if you know what I mean, although Atlanta may have that distinction as well smh. Hopefully I can make my way there one day and check it out. Looking forward to the rest of the series too. Keep up the good work.🖒🖒🖒

Interesting. I never really think of cities like this. We lived in Rochester, NY for 20 years. My children grew up in mixed neighborhoods so I thought most cities were like ours until we moved away.

Hey there, thank you for checking this out. Yea that’s the imagery most cities put to tourists.

I have never been to San Francisco before, and after this I never will. Those backhanded compliments about speaking so well would’ve drove me nuts. And they swear they are being so kind by telling you that. As if you need the white mans validation. When you call them out on stuff like that, the ‘white fragility’ comes out like cockroaches in the dark. They cannot stand any black man having some integrity about himself. Unfortunately, we all have to deal with this when we go to work, because we have to deal with customers who hold antiquated stereotypes of black folks.

That’s why I can’t wait to see “Get Out” because that exists so much here. It’s like you said on the George Lopez podcast, people will only accept us if we are a Kobe Bryant type of brotha

I’m going tomorrow brotha. On another note, I actually was debating in my head last year to have a hunger strike at San Francisco’s city hall to “bring back the black” I didn’t go through with it because of the lack of support. My message was to black entertainers and celebrities to not perform in a city that doesn’t want your kind. Ironically it was when Beyonce was in town.

You would have to get some white liberals to do it with you in order to grab attention. The media outlets would chalk up what you were doing as another black lives matter protest.
